Even a short weekend trip in the company of women can significantly improve your mood and add energy. How to organize it? The key to success in this case is teamwork. Once you’ve assembled your group, agree on a time that works for everyone, as well as a budget each of you can allocate. However, it is worth doing it well in advance to be able to easily book rooms in hotels. And of course the most important thing – decide where you want to go. Of course, there are many options, which is why it is usually difficult to find the perfect one. In our opinion, it is worth choosing a place where the journey or flight will not take too much time. After all, we don’t want to spend most of the trip in the means of transport. That is why we went to the Polish seaside. After three hours on the train, we were in Tricity. We spent a great weekend there, full of walks, sightseeing and delicious food.
The Polish sea – a great destination, regardless of the season
It’s no secret that the Polish sea is most crowded during the summer holidays. Therefore, the choice of this place out of season may be surprising. However, many people say that they only started to like them thanks to travels in autumn, winter and early spring. Outside of the summer season, it’s completely different here. The weather, of course, is not conducive to sunbathing, but such rest can also be very pleasant. There are no crowds and noise, we can easily admire the picturesque landscapes from the perspective of the seaside boulevards, as well as visit interesting places.
Of course, during one weekend in the Tri-City it is difficult to see all the local attractions. Therefore, when we have so little time, it is worth contacting someone who lives there and they will advise us on what he or she thinks is worth seeing in particular. Thanks to the recommendations of our friend, we chose places that we probably would not have considered on our own.

One of them is the Orłowo district in Gdynia. Its central part is the promenade overlooking the beautiful bay. There is also a pier, atmospheric tenement houses and the famous abandoned sanatorium waiting for visitors. However, the most characteristic element of the estate is a steep cliff covered with trees, at the foot of which there is a narrow beach. We got on it and didn’t regret it. The views were really beautiful!

An unusual park in Gdańsk
Another place that delighted us was the historic Oliwski Park in Gdańsk. To be honest, we didn’t have high expectations before visiting it. We thought it would be just another beautiful park like many. However, as soon as we entered it, we already knew that it was a special place. Oliwski Park is very original, its alleys are varied with numerous flowers and plants. Interestingly, its creation is related to the activity of the Cistercian order, which appeared in the vicinity of Gdańsk in 1186. We really wished we could stay there longer. And we agreed that in the summer and spring it is certainly even nicer here, so of course we want to come back here.
In the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Gdynia, where we stayed, a delicious three-course dinner was waiting for us in the evening. Shrimps, roast duck, and finally a delicious chocolate dessert. It was the perfect end to this intense day.

Healthy walks
Our hotel was located close to the sea in a quiet area that encourages walking along the seaside boulevard. As fans of this form of activity, of course, we used it. The smell of iodine-saturated water made us feel great. We all felt like we were in a better mood and sleeping better. Few people know that in the off-season there is a lot of iodine in the air over the Baltic Sea – much more than in summer. And this is necessary for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland and hormones, and thus – our entire body. Therefore, trips in autumn, winter and early spring will be the most beneficial for our health.
One of the greatest advantages of staying on the Baltic Sea outside the holiday season is undoubtedly the opportunity to regenerate in peace and quiet. And these two elements are often missing in this place in the summer. We got the impression that in early spring time on the Baltic Sea flows much slower. And we all felt like visiting this place more often in the off-season.
The material was recorded during a trip financed by Marriott.
