There are only a few weeks left, less than a month until the coronation of King Carlos III. However, among the details of the traditional ceremony, the creation of emojis and three labels designed by Buckingham Palace for the occasion stands out.

The emoji was inspired by the 17th century gold and jeweled crown of St. Edward. It is a piece with a purple velvet hat and 444 precious and semi-precious stones.

It is the same crown that Queen Elizabeth II wore at her coronation ceremony in 1953 and the same one that Carlos III will wear on May 6.

The new emoticon has already appeared in official posts on Twitter and is accompanied by hashtags such as #Coronation #CoronationConcert #CoronationWeekend #CoronationBigLunch or #TheBigHelpOut.

This is the first emoji created for the coronation. However, before the British royal house released an emoticon for Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee in June 2022: a corgi dog with the same crown.

Carlos III has a circle of close people who will follow him at court: the list does not include his son Harry or his brothers Andrés and Eduardo
