While still a student, she married Andrzej Makowiecki, but the marriage ended in divorce and a social scandal. Małgorzata met Marek Walczewski on the set of the TV show “Desperates”, and the acquaintance quickly turned into love. Marek proposed to Małgorzata, but both were married at the time. Friends approached the couple with great reserve and doubt. It also affected their work. Some influential people in the film industry condemned their behavior and refused to cooperate. Eventually, the couple got married and were together until Marek Walczewski’s death in 2009.
