The association, which has been working for missing people for years, was founded by Iwona Modliborska. Krzysztof Matuszewski disappeared on May 13, 1974. He was 12 at the time. The boy was born in April 1962 and lived with his parents in Frombork.
“This story touches your heart and makes you think deeply. Is it really possible to vanish into thin air? Is it possible that no one saw anything?” – we read on the pages of zaginieniprzedlaty.com. Volunteers of the association inform that they are in touch with Krzysztof’s family. Therefore, they could describe the circumstances of the boy’s disappearance, which happened almost 50 years ago. At the same time, they emphasize that they are still investigating the matter.
According to the accounts of the boy’s relatives (who may be 60 today), Krzysztof was a rather quiet and calm child, introverted, but very independent.
However, he was characterized by great empathy, he was very emotional. He loved spending time with his grandmother in the garden, he liked flowers. Krzysztof and his brothers also served in the church as an altar boy

On May 13, 1974, he changed the life of the Matuszewski family forever. The boy’s parents went shopping in a neighboring town. The 12-year-old returned from school on schedule and after a while went out to play in the yard. When the parents returned home, they found Krzysztof’s two brothers. The absence of the 12-year-old worried them, so they asked their sons to look for their brother. When the boys couldn’t find him, the family contacted the police. The boy was searched for by his family, friends, neighbors, students of the school he attended and volunteer residents of the city. However, the child has not been found.

Since Frombork was a popular city at that time, the services initially assumed that the child was kidnapped by tourists. During the search, several different leads were found, but – according to zaginieniprzedlaty.com – nothing could be determined. The tracks led nowhere. Boundaries were also checked.
Volunteers of “Missing Years Ago”, who reached Krzysztof’s family, learned that “they never stopped believing in finding their beloved son and brother”. Sadly, the missing man’s father passed away. – But Krystyna is still waiting for her son. She lives in the same place, waiting for her beloved Krzysiu to appear at the door – the volunteers wrote “Missing Years Ago”.
On the day he disappeared, the boy was wearing a navy blue polo shirt, long navy blue pants and blue sneakers. The 12-year-old was 146 cm tall.
