It is true that films referring to the subject are not as popular as their Christmas counterparts, but there is still a lot of interesting proposals in this category. The most popular production is the story depicting the last 20 hours of Jesus’ life, directed by Mel Gibson. What other titles will work for the Easter screening? We present our proposals.

Easter suggestions not only for the youngest. Film screenings for the whole family

Before we reach for titles with a slightly more serious theme, let’s take a look at the productions that will work for a family screening. In this category, one of the most interesting titles is the partially animated family film “Hop” directed by Tim Hill. The main character, Fred O’Hare, accidentally runs over the Easter Bunny (Rusell Brand). As a result of an accident, the animal breaks its leg, which prevents it from fulfilling its holiday duties. To save Easter and make up for his inattention, Fred is forced to take over his errands.

Peter Rabbit is a fantasy family film directed by Will Gluck. The production tells the story of the title character, who gets into a dispute with a farmer. Rabbit decides to take control of the farmer’s (Domhnall Gleeson) vegetable garden. At stake in their fight is the heart of a charming neighbor (Rose Byrne).

Probably everyone knows this four-legged friend. Zeus has often been the hero of many productions for the youngest viewers. The title character of the film “The Dog Who Saved Easter” goes to a dog hotel while his owners, the Bannisters, are away. The sanctuary where the dog is to spend a few days is in trouble. Zeus decides to deal with the competition.

Touching productions about the life of Jesus. These movies make you think

Surely many of you have heard of the Oscar-nominated film The Last Temptation of Christ, which is an adaptation of the novel by Nikos Kazanzakis. The production gained a reputation as controversial, and in some countries around the world, the broadcast was banned. Although the controversial title directed by Martin Scorsese with Will Dafoe in the title role is considered anti-Catholic by many, the film is extremely moving and thought-provoking.

Undoubtedly, the picture created by three excellent directors: George Stevens, Jean Negulesco and David Lean deserves attention. The production was based on the novel by Fulton Oursler. “The Greatest Story of All Time” is a biblical film from 1965 presenting in depth the fate of Jesus (played by Max von Sydow) from the moment of his birth until his martyrdom on the cross.
