100 years ago, the Warner brothers founded one of the world’s largest and most recognizable film studios: Warner Bros. These are some of the Poles who have been successful in Hollywood. In addition to our compatriots, there were many talented creators in Fabryka Snów and we decided to remind some of them in the latest episode of “POPculture”, which you can watch below.

The adventure film “Chupa” tells the story of thirteen-year-old Alex, who, while visiting his family in Mexico, finds a young Chupacabra in his grandfather’s shed. To save this mythical creature, Alex and his cousins must embark on what turns out to be the adventure of a lifetime. Soon, the boy realizes that a new friend, named Chup by the kids, has secret ties to his family, and that a fierce and dangerous scientist is hunting an amazing creature. The film was directed by Jonás Cuarón (“Desierto”), and among the producers is Chris Columbus, responsible for directing such films as “Home Alone” and the first parts of “Harry Potter”.
In Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, the creators take viewers back to 1954. Starring Marisa Davila as Jane and Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia. The author of the script is Annabel Oakes (“Atypical”, “Transparent”), who is also his showrunner and director of the series. The soundtrack was composed by Grammy-nominated music producer Justin Trante.
The Disney+ series “Little Big Stories” is based on the best-selling book by Cheryl Strayed. Kathryn Hahn stars as Clare, a failed writer who rises to prominence as an editor of an advice column while her own life falls apart.
