PLN 300 for village leaders. What conditions must they meet to receive the benefit?
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is working on a project that will enable the granting of money for performing the function of a village administrator. It is supposed to amount to PLN 300, but not everyone will get it. What conditions must be met?
- Be a mayor for at least two terms, but most likely it does not have to be two terms in a row;
- Reach the required retirement age, i.e. 60 years for women and 65 years for men;
- Submit an application to the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund (KRUS);
- The benefit will be paid after retirement.
The planned date for the adoption of the project by the government is the second quarter of this year, i.e. until the end of June. In the meantime, ie on March 13, a similar draft was submitted to the Sejm, this time on behalf of PiS. It has been sent for public consultation.
The councilors do not receive remuneration for their work. Their effort “is not adequately rewarded”
It is worth knowing that currently the village leaders do not receive remuneration for their position, which means that for this reason they are not covered by the social system. Moreover, the term of office is not included in the period of employment. – Thus, the effort made by the village leaders for the benefit of the rural community is not properly rewarded – we can read in the project, as stated

The village administrators are responsible, among others, for managing communal and municipal property, organizing village meetings or meetings of the village council, implementing their resolutions, collecting taxes and local fees, or participating in council meetings. He performs all tasks resulting from his role on a voluntary basis, i.e. outside of his professional activity. A benefit of PLN 300 would make up for it.
