Jeremy Renner’s condition was critical. The actor is slowly recovering

Exactly on the first day of 2023, he decided to shovel the property of his house located in northern Nevada. For this purpose, he used a snow groomer, i.e. a special caterpillar plow. When he got out of the vehicle, he forgot to apply the handbrake. The machine began to roll, and at one point it ran over him in front of the whole family. The actor was hospitalized in serious condition with fractures of more than 30 bones and a collapsed lung. Despite the initially poor prognosis, thanks to the quick intervention of doctors, his condition stabilized.

The star told about the accident in an interview. He confessed that he would do it again

In an interview with ABC News journalist Diane Sawyer, the actor told about the event that left him in a hospital bed for weeks. He confessed that he did not regret that he had done so, because if it had not been for his intervention, his nephew would have been the victim of the accident. “I’d do it again,” he said confidently. “I lost a lot of flesh and bone, but I was replenished and filled with love and titanium,” he added.

Renner admitted that he was aware of what was happening all the time, and the pain that accompanied his injuries was unbearable. He stressed that he was also concerned about how he would look after treatment. “Am I going to be a backbone with a brain like some science experiment?” he mused in an interview. Although the recovery period is still ongoing, the actor is already enjoying the effects of rehabilitation.
