As you can read on the fanpage of the MONAR Association, a popular rapper of the young generation decided to support his mission and donated to him a symbolic amount of PLN 420,000. zlotys. The number is not accidental – it is related to Mata’s fight for the decriminalization of marijuana. He is aware that better access to education, prevention materials and addiction treatment centers can also change the society’s outlook on this matter.

On July 13, 2022, on the channel of Mata, i.e. Michał Matczak, a film stylized as an election spot or a fragment of a debate appeared, in which he announces the start of the presidential election in 2040, and also makes his first promises to potential voters. It turns out that the whole convention wasn’t just a joke. Some of them the rapper managed to fulfill. Among other things, he committed to create the 420 Foundation aiming at the legalization of marijuana, as well as educating the Polish society on this topic and donating 420,000. zlotys for its activities, and the other 420 thousand. for the support of the MONAR Association. He recently completed the second part of the plan.

Not only a rapper was appointed to the team, but also specialists in addiction psychotherapy: Natalia Czapla, Agnieszka Grzelka, Katarzyna Lewandowska and Adam Nyk. The whole thing is supervised by Maria Banaszak, known online as “Lady od narcotics”, psychotherapist and co-author of the book “Hajland. How do our children get high”. The project started in the first Addiction Treatment, Therapy and Rehabilitation Center Monar in Głosków. Mata’s donation made it possible to finance the modernization of the facility – a general renovation and modernization of the gym. During the inauguration, where the rapper appeared in person, a joint training was held.

In his election spot, Mata emphasized that he wanted to raise awareness of not only the benefits, but also the risks of smoking marijuana, including openly calling it a drug, for which Peja criticized him after his speech at the Empik Bestsellers gala, where the music was awarded for the album “Młody Matczak”.
This album “Młody Matczak” – you know what he likes, what inspires him. Poland likes this album and I would like to say one thing. I think that marijuana, well, all of Poland is in love with it. I want to publicize the topic of marijuana. I want to start a fight to decriminalize this drug. I believe that, especially in the arts and music community, he has been an inspiration to musicians for many years.
