The incident was reported by Asst. pcs. Edyta Żur from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Opole Lubelskie in an interview with PAP. The fire broke out around eight in the morning.
Police at the scene determined that one person inside the building died as a result of the fire. At the moment, we are establishing her identity, but we assume that she is an 87-year-old man who lived in this house alone – explains the officer.

Photos from the fire were published by OSP Chodel, and the duty officer of the Provincial Rescue Coordination Post in Lublin, Jakub Kurczuk, provided the local press with details of the event.
The house was wooden. When the fire department arrived, smoke was pouring out of windows and roof crevices. There was no chance to save the man who was in the building – stresses Kurczuk.
Wysocki died several days before his 87th birthday. For a long time, the actor struggled with back pain and loneliness. In an interview with “Dziennik Wschodni” he said that his life in Trzciniec did not look like a dream autumn of life.
In the same interview, the artist noted that he is afraid of illness and death, but he tries to push the worst thoughts away.
Am I afraid of illness or death? This is what everyone is afraid of. Sometimes, on a gloomy day, when you sit alone, all kinds of stupid thoughts come to mind. But that’s the normal course of things. Rather, I push away thoughts of the end that is known to come. I’m already closer than farther away – said Wysocki seven years ago.
The actor said goodbye to his son, who shared a photo of his father in his youth on social media.
Piotr Wysocki was born on April 13, 1936 in Toruń. He has been working in theaters for 60 years, and since 1996 he has been associated with the Juliusz Osterwa Theater in Lublin. In addition, he acted in films and series. Viewers know him from “Lalka”, “Doctor Judym”, “Career of Nikodem Dyzma”, “Klan” or “Four Armored and a Dog”.
