Car and the Templars made its debut on the silver screen in the early 1970s. The production was based on a novel by Zbigniew Nienacki and has enjoyed great popularity among viewers for years.
The series told about the adventures of a historian, Tomasz, and three young scouts who go on a treasure hunt. The role of the main character was played by the highly regarded in the world of cinema Now Netflix has decided to create a new version of the cult series.

The direction of the new version of the cult production was entrusted to Antoni Nykowski, whose skills and knowledge he gained in the Łódź film school. Bartosz Sztybor is responsible for the screenplay based on Zbigniew Nienacki’s book. Mateusz Janicki, known for his many productions on both the small and big screen, was cast in the main role of the new adaptation of “Mr. Samochodzik”. The actor has performed in “The Time of Honor”, “The Century of Guilty” or “For Good and for Bad”, and also created unforgettable acting roles in films such as “Lejdis”, “Afterimage”, “Wołyń” or “Zabawa, entertainment”.
