Lukasz Gajdzis is dead. The actor and director was 38 years old
Łukasz Gajdzis, actor, director, former director of the Polish Theater in Bydgoszcz, has died. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones, we read on the association’s Facebook page.
In 2017-2020, Gajdzis was the director of the Polish Theater in Bydgoszcz. Previously, he worked as an artistic director and deputy stage director at the Fredro Theater in Gniezno. He graduated from the acting department of the PWSFTviT in Łódź, and also completed post-graduate studies in opera directing and musical theater forms.

He became known to a wider audience by playing in popular Polish series. He played episodic roles in productions such as “On the Signal”, “Commissioner Alex”, “Na Wspólnej” or “Kryminalni”. In 2022, he played the role of a doctor in the famous movie “Johnny”, and earlier we could see him in “Run Boy Run” or “Thieves of Hearts”.
Set designer Łukasz Błażejewski said goodbye to Gajdzis via social media.
As a director, he paid a lot of attention to set design and costumes, so as a set designer, I had the opportunity to make my dreams of paintings come true with a flourish. I owe him a lot. I enjoyed our conversations about big and small things and about experiments in work and life, about successes and failures. He made unobvious and surprising decisions for me. At work, he never took shortcuts, he always searched for current answers anew, the artist recalls the director.
