Exactly five years ago, on March 18, 2018, the Polish rap scene said goodbye to a true legend, Tomasz Chada. The rapper did not have an easy life and often got into conflict with the law. One day he took his own life.

Tomasz Chada is one of the legends of Polish rap. The artist never hid anything, he wrote lyrics about everything that surrounded him, a world full of conflicts with the law and life problems. Today marks five years since his death.

He released his first album 10 years after his debut. “Proceder” became a hit when he was serving his sentence

Tomasz Chada was born on August 24, 1978 in Warsaw. He took his first steps in rap when he was only 17 years old. It was then that the piece “W-WA Miasto Stołeczne” was created. Only a year later, the rapper appeared as a guest in three songs on the cult album Molesty entitled. “Scandal”. This brought him even more notoriety.

In the following years, Chada released a joint album with Pihem and collaborated with real Polish legends, such as Peja, Tede or Sokół. In 2009, he released his first album entitled “Proceder”. A few days before the premiere of the album, the court suspended his sentence of 22 months in prison.

Over the next few years, Chada was released from custody, then returned to it. The rapper was convicted for assault and battery, theft and the use of another person’s document. During this time, the artist released four studio albums, including “The Agreement Effect”, which went platinum in a short time. To create them, he often used passes. In 2013, the rapper did not return to prison, which was why he was prosecuted with an arrest warrant. He hid for over a year, posting videos that became a source of jokes about the Polish justice system.

Chady’s last album was released on December 1, 2017. “The Recidivist” was supposed to be a warning to everyone who was impressed by life in lawlessness. Unexpectedly, after the premiere of the album, the artist canceled the concert tour. Fans about the cancellation of events through his Facebook profile.

All concerts as part of Recydivista Tour will not take place due to the rapper’s health. Chada is currently in the hospital under the care of doctors.

It turned out that the rapper tried to commit suicide by jumping from the third floor. He was taken to the hospital in Mysłowice with a severely damaged spine. A few days later, he was transferred to the State Hospital for the Nervous and Mentally Ill in Rybnik.

The reason for transferring the patient was a sudden attack of rage, as a result of which the artist destroyed the hospital equipment. Shortly after transporting Chada to Rybnik, the rapper died.

In memory of Chady, a film was made with the same title as his first album. The “procedure” evoked mixed feelings. On the one hand, many people thought that bringing the story of the rapper and the controversy of his death closer is a good idea. On the other hand, the artist’s relatives accused the production of being “fairytale-like”, which was impossible to find in Chady. Fu, one of the legend’s friends, described the film in a strongly negative way. – How should the film depicting the life of the rapper legend and the problems associated with it look like, i.e. once on the cart once under the cart, I will thank you for such a cinema – .
