If pharmacists, then pharmacists. These two men are boycotting harmful bans

Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad shared two photos of men working in a pharmacy. One with a prescription in hand, the other browsing a store shelf. Both are dressed in the now mandatory black hijab for women. On Twitter she wrote:

Iran’s Food and Drug Administration has ordered pharmacies to force their female employees to wear black hijabs in the workplace. Meanwhile, Iranian men mock this order and support their female friends by wearing hijab in the pharmacy. The obligatory hijab is the main pillar of the religious union. Together we will tear down this wall.

Clothing as a means of control. Two pharmacies have already closed in Iran

Failure to comply with the ban results in the dismissal of a woman from work, any other color is unacceptable, and pharmacy owners are obliged to control female employees. Two pharmacies in Tehran have been closed because of this. fDA tries to tell the community they want to stop women from standing out, and black and white won’t tempt men. In this case, it is a combination of a white apron and a black hijab. Photos of the two pharmacists quickly circulated on social media. They show how wrong, senseless and discriminatory restrictions in Iran are.
