Recently, the Academy Awards awarded Jamie Lee Curtis as Best Supporting Actress, a dream that her parents at the time, actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, also wanted to achieve.

Her fans were delighted that her performance in ‘All At Once Everywhere’ was recognised, as they watched in delight as the actress referred to the golden statuette with the English pronouns ‘they/them’ in honor of her daughter, transgender Ruby Guest.

“I have a trans daughter. His life is threatened, just because he exists as a human being. There are people like her who want to destroy her […] as if we haven’t learned what the result is: the extermination of human beings. It’s scary,” the actress said in interviews.

Also known for her role as Laurie Strode in the horror saga ‘Halloween’, Jamie has been an activist for the rights of the LGBT community in recent years, as Aló pointed out.
