Mexican comedian Franco Escamilla dedicated the fifth chapter of his podcast I’m bored to offer “advice” on how a woman should win over a man, something that earned her social criticism for the “macho” and “sexist” comments she made about him.

in his episode How to make your partner fall in love more than two hours summarizes the role of a woman – during the process of conquest – in three things: having sex, cooking something delicious and being silent.

The comedian starts this chapter by telling his followers that he won’t do a chapter about what they want (he previously did one called What they want), because he believes that the answer is fundamental. “If you’re a woman and you’re wondering what men want, go check it out, because one day you’ll forget to breathe, because men want very basic things”the man stated.

He then quoted comedian Chris Rock, who he said “said it perfectly when he said: ‘man wants food, sex and silence’. A reliable translation that I knew how to do in bars back then is: “Come on, cook me something tasty and shut up.” added.

Escamilla has also been criticized for the reductionism with which he describes men.

Throughout his chapter, the comedian sticks to his idea that “man is very basic in his affective needs.” Thus, it indicates that: “If he is horny, it is sex, if he is hungry, food, if he is angry at work, he wants silence.” That’s all a man wants.”

Although the video of his podcast was released two months ago, a clip from it that was posted on social media went viral, putting Escamillo in the eye of the hurricane.
