In Memoriamthe part of the Oscar awards which each year commemorates the movie characters who died last year was a source of controversy in this edition because of the people he left out of his tribute.
John Travolta gave an emotional speech to introduce the segment, adding a reference from her co-star Olivia Newton John who also died in 2022, but it seems that the organizers of the tribute forgot to include other actors and that caused a moment of discomfort on social networks.
Anne Heche, Charlbi Dean, Paul Sorvino And Lesley Jordan are some of the actors whose faces did not appear on the ceremony screen while Lenny Kravitz sang his song Calling All Angels.
Anne Heche
Anne Heche was involved in a traffic accident in Los Angeles on August 5 when her car crashed into a home, sparking a fire that went up in flames. Firefighters managed to save her from the blaze, but the actress suffered “severe anoxic brain injury,” which caused her brain death on August 12.
The actress who passed away at the age of 53 has been acting in films since the 1990s and rose to fame when she shared the screen with Johnny Depp in ‘Donnie Brasco’. He was also in ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ and ‘The Girl in Room 13’.

Although she did not attend the ceremony and was not included in the tribute, Dean was awarded at Cannes for her latest film: “For me, I have already won. I’m already in Cannes with the movie. That’s so great. Everything is just icing on the cake from where I am,” he told the Associated Press.
