Janusz Weiss was born on May 31, 1948. He often spoke about his family. His mother was of Russian descent, while his father had Jewish roots. Due to his background and active opposition activities, he never went to college. Immediately after graduating from high school, he started developing his passions. As early as 1968, he performed in the Abakus and Salon Niezalenych cabarets.
From 1990 he was a co-creator of ZET together with Andrzej Woyciechowski. His most famous broadcast was “I’m calling you, sir, on a very unusual matter.” Unfortunately, Weiss had to relinquish his stake in the radio station. All because of the conflict with the co-founder of the station. – He claimed that he took the shares in a fair way, that’s his story. I don’t sign it. I have some regrets, but it’s a long gone thing,” he stated in 2013.
Weiss was also associated with television. He led such shows as “Golden Deal”, “Billion in reason” or guest “Fort Boyard”. For a long time he appeared in TVN24 and Superstacja programs. From 1974, he shared his life with his wife Grażyna. Their marriage was cut short by the woman’s death in 2005. It was a huge blow for the journalist. Over time, on his way he met Masha. Weiss remarried and had two sons – Jan and Maksymilian. He became a father at the age of 60. We had children late. I didn’t have them with my first wife. It’s very nice to have children. Thanks to the boys, I smile more often, they are funny – confessed Janusz Weiss in the TVN program.
