26 years old Tue, an Andean ensemble that has had four generations of cumbia singers. In 2022, the band was revamped with new members aged 22 to 34. During this time, the men who are part of the group have prepared musical proposals that match the style of Tuebut at the same time testing fusions and modern sounds.
Such is his new collaboration with Jonathan Moon: “We wanted to do something with the urban rhythm like what you get Guyanawith a super different modern style and we are on the right track with that Jonathanwith his style. We produce a product to our liking,” he says Freddy Godoysinger and founder of the band.
Fake Love mixthat’s the name of the premiere theme which is a mix of three important songs from 2003 for Tuebecause they are one of his first and most famous: Damn heart, fake love And Heart no longer suffers. “Jonathan I had already heard these songs” and that’s why he was encouraged to sing this remix with them, he insists Godoy.
Since January 25, this merger is available on the group’s social networks. “The three months that have been there this year have been really good for the national artist we’ve been immersed in, we’re adapting really well on stage,” he added.

Tue It consists of 14 musicians: they have wind instruments, percussion, bass and vocalists. “The power of sustaining the group was in a pandemic, all the artists and musicians were spiraling out of control because we were locked down. From there it was a spectacular experience, because our music has been accepted not only in Quito, but also in Guayaquil and Cuenca,” he says.
They also know his talent internationally, “in 2012 all of Europe sang our songs”, he says. Over the years they have looked for fresher styles: “this particular song has a bit of an urban genre to it. In 2005 we started with technocumbia, now it’s fused with something that has more to do with time.”
This project with which the band revives and relives the hits of the 2000s marks the beginning of the return of Tueexplains one of the members: “a little more up-to-date and modern, but while retaining the roots of the orchestra”.
