In 2000, she conquered the charts. Today there is no place to live

Hannah Spearritt has been the vocalist of S Club 7 since 1999, a British pop music group. Its manager was Simon Fuller, who also formed the Spice Girls. Despite the huge success of the band and selling 10 million records, she recently struggled with a crisis of homelessness.

Along with the founding of the band, a series was also created that told about it, i.e. “Miami 7”. Members of the group not only performed in it, but also sang hit songs from the first, debut album, thanks to which they quickly gained fame and recognition.

S Club 7 topped the charts for five years. Despite this, the salaries of singers were not among the highest

For five years, S Club 7 released four singles, which sold over 10 million copies. Their songs conquered the charts, and the band itself gave concerts at the largest stadiums. It would seem that such success translated into huge earnings for singers. As Hannah Spearritt argues, it was different. Quoted by the portal, she admitted that their salaries were not the highest. “People think we all have to be millionaires, but unfortunately that’s not true,” she said. Vocalists received about 150,000. pounds a year (approx. PLN 780,000), and most of the earnings went to the manager, whose assets today amount to approx. 445 million pounds. Hannah Spearritt, on the other hand, recently struggled with a homelessness crisis.

The owner of the apartment she had previously rented with her husband and , gave her an ultimatum and gave her only two days to find a new place, because he was selling the current one. The family made an emergency landing in an office space that belonged to a friend. Already at the end of last year they were struggling with the homelessness crisis, and before that they lived in temporary homes.

After the breakup of the band, Hannah Spearritt first tried her hand as an actress, and recently tried to open her own holistic and organic coffee shop “Earth & Fire” with her partner, inspired by their trip to Costa Rica.

Finally, the singer’s illness, for which she did not get out of bed for three months, thwarted their plans. Despite personal problems, however, Hannah convinces that the cafe will open and looks forward to the future.

S Club 7 also announced a great return to the stage. In October, on the occasion of their 25th anniversary, they will perform at the largest stadiums in Great Britain.
