It happens that they are made of natural leather and are uncomfortable and squeeze in the fingers. Fortunately, the problem can be solved by using an ordinary potato from the kitchen. Just peel two tubers, wash them thoroughly, press them into the toes of shoes and wait several hours – preferably overnight. In the morning, you’ll find that the vegetable juice has softened the stretched fabric, and your footwear is much more comfortable. The method also has an additional effect – it removes unpleasant odors that arise when feet sweat and wear shoes for a long time. After all, just take out the potatoes, wipe the inside with a damp cloth to remove the sediment and admire the effects.

Before using the method, remember that it will only work on natural leather and should not be used on artificial materials.

How to stretch shoes at home? Use water bags

There is also another way to break leather shoes. Just use small plastic bags and a freezer.

  1. Check that the plastic is not damaged, then fill the bags with water and tie them so that they do not leak.
  2. Put your shoe bags in. Leave them where you want to stretch.
  3. Wrap your shoes in paper or plastic wrap and place them in the freezer overnight.
  4. In the morning, remove the ice from your shoes and repeat the process.
  5. The second time around, you will notice that the footwear has stretched, making it much more comfortable.
