The spouses, children, grandchildren, parents or siblings of the deceased are entitled to a survivor’s pension, provided that:

A widow may receive a survivor’s pension, if at the time of death of the spouse she was over 50 years old or was unable to work. A survivor’s pension is also payable if the widow is under 50 and:
- brings up at least one of the children, grandchildren or siblings of the deceased who are entitled to a survivor’s pension, provided that the child is under 16 or 18 if he or she is still attending school,
- takes care of a child completely incapable of independent existence or work and entitled to a family pension,
- reached the age of 50 or became incapable of work after the death of the spouse, but not later than 5 years after the death or cessation of raising children.
If the widow does not meet the above conditions but has no source of income, is entitled to receive a survivor’s pension for one year from the death of the spouse or two years if he participates in training qualifying him to perform paid work.
