TVP1 introduced a sudden change in its schedule. From Friday, March 10, viewers of the TV channel Jedynka will be able to watch John Paul II’s homilies every day after the main edition of “Wiadomości”. According to the schedule, five minutes were reserved for the broadcast.
TVP responds to the report “Franciszkańska 3”
This is probably a reaction to the latest TVN24 report entitled “Franciszkańska 3” by Marcin Gutowski, which caused a storm. The material presents the omissions of Karol Wojtyła in the case of pedophile priests from the time when he was still the Archbishop of Krakow. The author of the report presents documents and fragments of conversations with the victims of priests.
The material was broadcast on Monday, March 6, and on Thursday, the Sejm by a majority of votes adopted the resolution proposed by PiS on the protection of the good name of John Paul II. The project was also supported by Konfederacja and PSL.
In addition, on Thursday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited the US ambassador Marek Brzezinski “in connection with the activities of one of the TV stations, which is an investor on the Polish market.” In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it stated that it “recognizes that the potential effects of these actions are identical to the goals of a hybrid war aimed at leading to divisions and tensions in Polish society.”

That is why Telewizja Polska has changed the schedule and is carrying out a counteroffensive. As the only one, according to the rulers, television telling the truth, decided to remind its viewers how positive John Paul II is. And in the “Wiadomości” broadcast a moment earlier, the recipients will be able to hear that all the information given in the “Franciszkańska 3” report is a lie and the good name of the Polish Pope must be defended.
