On the other hand, those who have not reached the retirement age and receive a benefit from ZUS, e.g. for bridging pensions or pensioners (except for those mentioned above), must be careful not to exceed the established limits. Otherwise, their benefits may be reduced or even suspended. Importantly, they change every three months. The current ones apply from March 1. How much are they?

From March 1, 2023, new monthly income limits for seniors who retired early will apply. These amounts were determined on the basis of the average monthly remuneration for the fourth quarter of 2022. How much are they?

  • 70 percent average monthly salary, i.e. 4713.50 PLN – exceeding this amount results in a reduction of the benefit,
  • 130 percent average monthly salary, i.e. PLN 8,753.60 — exceeding this amount results in suspension of the benefit.

From January 2022, the limits for supplementing the social pension have changed. Previously, it suspended it if it exceeded 70% of the average monthly salary. Currently, it is reduced, and only exceeding 130% of the average monthly salary results in its suspension. This means that currently the same limits apply to the social pension as in other cases.
