One of the guests of the Monday episode of the program “Mimienna 8”, broadcast by the station, was MP Tomasz Trela. The subject of the conversation was supposed to be the FSB documents concerning the war in Ukraine. When the politician came to the fore, he brought the discussion to a completely different track, and the exchange of opinions quickly turned into a stormy brawl.

On Monday (March 6, 2023) there was an on-air brawl. The host of the “Mimienna 8” program, Bartłomiej Graczak, first introduced the guests invited to the studio, and then announced the topic of discussion. After briefly outlining the tabloid “The Sun” reports on documents regarding the war in Ukraine, he asked the left-wing MP, Tomasz Trela, to evaluate the case. However, the politician did not intend to comment on the situation beyond Poland’s eastern border. Instead, he used the airtime to address a devastating case that the media has been dealing with for several days. — A young boy is dead because your colleagues on this television and in the public Radio Szczecin hunted him down. Because you’re doing politics. And you don’t even have the decency to say it was wrong – Trela.
The journalist, shocked by the change of subject, tried unsuccessfully to interrupt the politician’s arguments. The deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Tourism, Olga Semeniuk-Patkowska, also joined the discussion, saying that the attempt to take advantage of the dramatic situation of one of the PO MPs is disgraceful, and Trela’s behavior is hypocritical. At one point, Grajak couldn’t stand it. – I’d rather not be born than build a political career on the graves of the dead – quoted the host of Donald Tusk’s words, addressing them to the interlocutor.

Tomasz Trela, however, did not give up and said that the responsibility for the death of the PO MP’s teenage son rests on the shoulders of the state media. – The hunt for the deputy began. (…) I will not participate in a program that does not cut itself off from the tragedy – said Tomasz Trela, then left the studio. – You are frivolous. I congratulate you on this theater – added the host of the program “It’s passed 8” at the end.
