Researchers in the UK have found large clusters of dangerous bacteria that thrive on objects such as kettles, fridge and cupboard handles. Bacteria were also found on espresso machines and microwave buttons. If you are an office employee and you happen to use the common areas of the office kitchen, this problem applies to you too.

Dr. Adam Roberts, a microbiologist with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicinestated on the basis of the conducted research that office workers they do not wash their hands thoroughly or not at all after using the toilet. It is this neglect that is the reason for the spread of fecal bacteria in common spaces.

Dr. Roberts and a group of scientists examined office common spaces and found several different types of bacteria including e-coli causing serious health complications such as nephritis, vomiting, headaches and diarrhoea.

Scientists have also discovered the bacterium pseudomonas aeruginosathe bacteria responsible for respiratory infections. Bacteria has also been discovered klebsiella pneumoniaewhich can lead to a number of diseases, including pneumonia, meningitis, or urinary tract infections.
