Creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann explained that they wanted to tell the entire story of the computer game “The Last of Us” in the first season, but felt that more might be too demanding for the audience. The series was made for 200 days anyway, and shooting one episode took about 18-19 days. “Usually on TV you have to shoot seven or eight pages a day, we shot two and a half, maybe three,” Mazin told The Washington Post.
