At that time, the single father lived in a wooden house in the village of Mamino. Unfortunately, the living conditions in the building were not suitable for a child to stay there. The main problems were leaking windows and a leaking roof. The rooms were damp, and in one of the rooms even the floor collapsed. Desperate for the lack of funds for renovation, the man applied for the program.

When Katarzyna Dowbor arrived at the place, she was shocked. The conditions in the rooms were terrible. After an initial survey of the condition of the building, she had to make a difficult decision. On the property there was an old barn, the technical condition of which was much better. The host came up with the idea to renovate the utility rooms and adapt them to a residential building. The participants of the program liked the idea, after all, they had nothing to lose. The professionals quickly got to work, doing a great job. In just five days, they created a cozy home where Mr. Grzegorz and his son Kuba could immediately move in.
