Piotr Czarny (played by Bartosz Gelner) is a charming thirty-something lawyer. He is constantly chasing adrenaline, women and parties. His plan is put in jeopardy when a work colleague, Olga – the only woman he’s completely honest with and doesn’t sleep with – gives him an ultimatum.
Majka Jeżowska: The Ikea Generation is an erotic film, to put it mildly
Majka Je¿owska plays Mother of the Black. As the producer announces, “The Ikea Generation”, an adaptation of the controversial bestseller of the same title, is a story about dating, sex, but also love. – This is an erotic cinema, to put it mildly – judges Jeżowska in an interview with Justyna Bryczkowska from Gazeta.pl. He also adds:
That is, something that interests us, and that we, as our society, do not like to talk about, because it is a taboo topic. I know something about it because my openness always makes me talk about it. And it’s considered crazy for a mature woman to say she likes sex, or that we should all have sex.
In Dawid Gral’s film, following the cynical and hedonistic protagonist, we enter the world of casual sex, speed dating and one-night stands served to people by Internet applications. The film portrays people who learned from easy access to goods that everything can be cheaply and thoughtlessly replaced – a computer, furniture, an apartment, and even a relationship.
In addition to Gelner and Jeżowska, the cast included, among others, Michalina Olszańska, Paweł Małaszyński, Jan Aleksandrowicz-Krasko and Karolina Gorczyca. “The Ikea Generation” has its cinema premiere on March 3, and the entire interview with Majka Jeżowska on Gazeta.pl on March 2.
