Charles III accumulates a long list of ‘no’s’ to perform at his coronation ceremony as king of the United Kingdom. According to the British media, all these artists or groups would have refused to attend: Ed Sheeran, Adele, Harry Styles, Robbie Williams, Elton John and the Spice Girls.
Until now, the only confirmations that the monarch has are those of Lionel Richie, Kylie Minogue and her sister and the group Take That. In the case of Sheeran and Styles, their absence is due to scheduling problems.
The ceremony will take place on May 7, being the day before when Carlos III is crowned. The absence of Elton John, who was a close friend of Diana from Wales and who already performed during her funeral in 1997, is especially surprising.
This situation does not help to fly back to a Carlos III far behind the popularity ratings that his mother had. If Elizabeth II had the support of more than 70% of the British, Charles III it stays at a bare 40%.
