“Magic nudity” is currently one of the most popular television formats in the world. The program has had many editions, and the Polish version of the program debuted in 2021. In the program, we observe the struggle of contestants who choose a candidate for a date solely on the basis of the candidates’ naked bodies.
She made her first coming out in the Polish version of “Magii nagości”
In one of the episodes of the third season, we had the opportunity to meet 28-year-old Marta from Warsaw, who decided to use her participation in the program to get out. She admitted that for most of her life she dated men, but at some point she came to the conclusion that she was attracted to women after all:
It just turned out that men don’t turn me on
Beata Olga Kowalska, the host of the program, also reacted to these words and admitted that this was an unprecedented event. “This is the first time in the history of the Polish ‘Magic of Nudity’ coming out” – said Beata Olga Kowalska.
In the program, a young waitress decided to invite a certain Agata on a date. It quickly turned out that there was no spark between the girls, but both decided that it was worth developing this acquaintance on a friendly basis.
Marta confessed in an interview with the portal that participation in the program gave her so much courage that she decided to come out during it. Interestingly, her parents did not know about her sexual orientation beforehand.
The show is not directed in any way. You cannot use negative comments that may offend someone. In general, it’s a lot of fun, everything is at ease – emphasized Marta from »Magic nudity«
She added that she is very happy to participate in the program. Thanks to him, she has become more confident and is glad that she no longer has to hide her orientation. In the interview, she also revealed how her family reacted to this information:
My parents haven’t watched the show, but they know about my sexual orientation. There is acceptance on their part. My mother guessed anyway, but I told her that I was 28 years old and if I wanted to, I would tell everything myself
Friends of the 28-year-old were also very proud of her. “My friends, on the other hand, congratulated me on my courage, they said that everything turned out really well. Their reaction was very positive, there were no questions like: how did you become a lesbian? They just congratulated me. It’s not an easy thing, especially in situation when someone goes to TV with it, but in the end I evaluate the whole experience very positively” – summed up the participant of “The Magic of Nudity. Poland”.
