Care is very important if we want them to grow lush, healthy and please our eyes. Unfortunately, sometimes, despite careful care, they wilt, the leaves change color and we start to wonder what the reason is. It happens that it is difficult for us to assess whether the flowers have been attacked by pests or whether we should change our care habits. Fortunately, this can be checked easily.

Cucumber plant test. Cut into slices and put in a pot
If you want to check if your plant is suffering from an infection, do a simple test. Just cut it thinly into slices (about 1 cm thick) and place it in the moist potting soil of the plant. Then wait 24 hours and assess the condition of the cucumber. If it has damage, the flower has been attacked by pests such as thrips, squidward or springtails. When the slices are intact, the cause of the languishing plant is different. It is then worth paying attention to whether the flower is not overflowing or whether it has not been exposed to sunlight and has not been burned.
In addition to cucumber, pear and tomato slices can also be used for the test.
Plant white paper test. Put it on, shake it and see what happens
Another way to check if your plants are infested with pests is to do a white paper test. Just put it under the leaves of the flower, shake it and pay attention to whether something has fallen on the paper. If you notice small, black and fast-moving “dashes”, it may mean that the plant has been attacked by thrips. To get rid of them, it is worth washing the leaves of the flower every day with a liquid mixed with a crushed garlic clove (thrips do not like water), or move it to a slightly wetter place, for example in the bathroom or near a humidifier.
