Bamby from the Bamby Travel Vlog channel on YouTube often publishes videos showing her life in Poland. The woman visits many cities and reveals her thoughts. In one of the recordings, she drew attention to the behavior of Poles, which surprised her after arriving in our country.

When we decide to take a long trip or move to another country, we often face many differences. Some behavior in others seems incomprehensible to us, but it works both ways. French youtuber Bamby, who runs a channel called Bamby Travel Vlog, in one of the recordings presented a few things that shocked her the most in the behavior of Poles.

What surprises foreigners in the behavior of Poles? They don’t ask “how are you” and sometimes they talk badly about their country

Bamby was born and raised in Paris and has been living in Paris for some time. At the beginning of the recording, she said that the examples presented in the film result from her own experiences and observations. Bamby was the first to mention the fact that Poles are not in the habit of asking “how are you doing” at the beginning of a conversation, which is popular in many other countries.

In France and other countries I’ve been to, when we meet someone, we say ‘good morning’ or ‘hello’ and automatically ‘how’s it going’ or ‘are you okay’. This is not the case here in Poland.

After arriving in Poland, the woman quickly understood that it doesn’t work like that here.

Bamba’s second point was that Poles sometimes speak badly about Poland. Although they are proud of history and origin, it does not change the fact that they often focus on flaws and problems.

Bamby sees Poles as hospitable. Still, they seem distant to her

The third point raised by the youtuber concerns hospitality. She admitted that she was surprised how warmly Poles welcome others in their homes.

Before I met Poles, I didn’t think they could be such hospitable people. I was invited to Polish families and I am positively surprised.

Although Bamby perceives Poles as hospitable, in the fourth point she pointed out that they can be shy and distant at the same time.

In general, Poles are rather calm and distant. I feel like it’s a little different for women.

Bamby noticed that some women are very talkative, but in the company of a partner or friends they fall silent. However, she couldn’t figure out what it was.

Drivers on the roads. Poles drive less calmly than the French

Bamby compared the driving style of Polish and French drivers. She came to the conclusion that driving in France is quieter.

Poles seem calm and quiet until they get behind the wheel of a car

– she said.

People are not in the habit of honking, but once they start, they immediately brawl or call names. Also don’t do it under any circumstances if you come to Poland.
