Eurovision fans accuse TVP of favoring Blanka. There is a petition: Does not meet expectations and standards

Since the announcement of Blanka Stajkow’s victory in the Polish pre-selections for Eurovision 2023, the indignation of the viewers with the results is growing. The jury’s decision caused dissatisfaction, especially among Jann’s fans, who claim that only his piece had a chance to win the international competition. Eurovision fans even created a petition to Polish Television.

This year, the Polish preselection for Eurovision aroused a lot of emotions. After the announcement of the list of candidates to take part in the international competition on behalf of our country, a discussion about Ahlena’s song broke out. The controversial text for “Booty” almost became a reason for the disqualification of the 25-year-old participant.

From the beginning, the audience’s favorite was Jann, i.e. Jan Rozmanowski and his song “Gladiator”. According to many, he stood out from the competition and was the only one with a chance of a place on the podium in the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will soon take place in Liverpool.

Eurovision fans outraged. A petition addressed to TVP was created

By the decision of the jury chaired by , Blanka Stajkow won the Polish pre-selection with the song “Solo”. The group placed the song Janna only in fourth place, which outraged the viewers of the competition.

The dissatisfaction with the decision of the judges is so great that a petition appeared on the network, in which Jann’s fans appeal to Polish Television to change the verdict.

“It is with great concern and dissatisfaction that we accept TVP’s decision to select a Polish representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. We would like to express our strong dissatisfaction with the fact that the TV station decided to independently select an artist who clearly does not meet the expectations and standards that should be required of a representative Poland on the international music scene.

The authors of the petition accuse TVP of favoring Blanka and claim that the results of the viewers’ vote were not disclosed.

This decision is not only incomprehensible, but also, in our opinion, irresponsible. On behalf of Polish Eurovision fans, we would like to express our disappointment and dissatisfaction with the fact that TVP did not exercise due diligence and commitment in finding a suitable Polish representative in this competition.

The petition was created just after the announcement of the pre-selection results. Within a dozen or so hours of publication, she obtained almost 2.5 thousand signatures.
