The production prepares a documentary about this web series, available on YouTube, with the TNT network, anticipates the director and one of its creators.
When they started this entertainment project, they were coming out of the adolescence, so they interpreted with a very personal and natural humor the experiences of college, university and twentysomethings who had just launched themselves into the adult world. With this type of comedy they hooked many in that age range ago ten years.
Ten years later, the EnchufeTV have grown and their followers too, but they continue to make us laugh with the anecdotes that identify them, as now with Types of office workers, according to National Enchugraphic O Signs that you are a lady.
“I was 19 years old when we started, with the cast we represented the conflicts of those who were like us at that time ”, recalls Jorge Ulloa, one of the creators of this web series by sketches which premiered in YouTube on November 13, 2011, with the video The worst casting.
“Now that we present Misfit (in theaters), a college comedy, we note that none of them can play these roles anymore. Now we are teachers, guys, janitors!”, Jokes the also director and actor in an exclusive interview with this newspaper about the tenth anniversary of this production.
It is that the conflicts also grew and with them, of course, humor has evolved, acknowledges the filmmaker. “Comedy was very permissive before, but from the beginning we wanted to differentiate ourselves from Latin American humor, which is very observational, to see the other to laugh at him, because that easily falls into xenophobia, racism, sexism, homophobia ”.
Even so, he admits, they have had to delete at least three of his videos, because they addressed topics that are not appropriate for joking. “There are jokes that we no longer agree with, aware that making humor entails a huge responsibility… We have to be responsible for what we say, because our speech can mark the thoughts of the environment ”.
That is why he is not afraid of the sensitivity he censors. “They say there is a hypersensitivity jokes in general, but I think it was necessary, because humor can hurt susceptibilities in a powerful way ”, he points out.
In these ten years of laughter and growth there has also been other learning that is not necessarily reflected in the “bright screens” (that is, cell phones, tablets and computers): the evolution of this equipment not only at the audiovisual level, but also human and business through the production company Touched Movies, the mother of PlugTV. “It was the hardest and where we made the most mistakes. At the beginning the project and friendships almost cost us, we had to learn to undertake to execute new projects and partnerships ”, the video producer shares.
These confrontations, fortunately overcome, are the conduct of a documentary film very special that EnconeTV is preparing with the chain TNT (from Warner), Jorge Ulloa advances. “It tells of everything that has never been told about these people wanting to do a project that seemed impossible in the country… There have been fights, lawsuits, gigantic monetary problems, fights, reconciliations and even marriages! They will see that making people laugh is not a joke ”.
And in celebration of this first decade of work, it also seeks to expand its contents towards the “world’s largest” platforms, although Ulloa does not wish to reveal which ones yet. This will be possible thanks to an agreement with 3Pas (‘guts’) Studios, company of the unmistakable Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez. At the moment, the episodes of EconeTV are broadcast by the service of streaming Plutotv.
