The second part of the film “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, closing the series about the famous wizard, was released in Poland on July 15, 2011. For the actors playing the characters whose literary prototypes were created by JK Rowling, participation in the production was an adventure of a lifetime. For many, it determined their future career, but some decided not to tie their future with cinema. Among them is Arthur Bowen, who played the son of Harry.

The production found him outside of casting
In the final scene of the film, the main characters meet again on Platform 9 3/4. This time, however, they do not start the school year at Hogwarts – they send their children on a journey. Viewers learn that Harry Potter’s son, Albus Severus, who owes his names to the late Dumbledore and Snape, was sorted by the hat into Slytherin rather than Gryffindor like his father. Harry, however, reassures the child, explaining that it is named after one of the headmasters of Hogwarts, also a Slytherin. It is from this brief but significant dialogue that we remember Arthur Bowen.
The boy did not participate in castings for the film – the production found him during a visit to one of the schools and offered him a job due to his similarity to the young Daniel Radcliffe, who played the main role. Bowen did not even inform his parents about the situation – they only learned that their son had a chance to play in a well-known series from a letter from the producers. So it should come as no surprise that the boy, who was insecure about acting from the beginning, did not choose such a professional path.
He is a fan of photography and football
Arthur Bowen was born on April 14, 1998, the same day the first Harry Potter book was released. The role of his son may have been destined for him, but apparently not an acting career. This year he will be 25 years old and nothing like Albus Severus. Privately, he is a football fan and his greatest passion is photography – he shares his best shots on Instagram. He also documents his everyday life on social media. From the photos, it can be inferred that he has a party-going nature. He also spends his free time playing computer games and traveling around the world. In some photos, however, he refers to the Rowling universe.

Harry and Ginny’s other children also chose not to pursue acting careers. Will Dunn, who played James Sirius Potter, deals with video games as a sound engineer (he worked, among others, on “Battlefield”), and Daphne de Beistequi (Lily Luna Potter) completely disappeared from social media for the sake of her privacy.
