Kasia Domeracka was seemingly an ordinary high school student. The 17-year-old had a lot of friends, and learning was not a problem for her. She had been dating 20-year-old Łukasz for some time. However, her relatives did not accept this relationship. A few days before her disappearance, Kasia lived with her grandparents in Warsaw in Mokotów. The girl’s bad relationship with her mother and stepfather contributed to this.
Mysterious message
On May 9, 2000, Kasia went with her friends to Zegrze. However, she left them after receiving a text. She did not say who she was going to meet. That was the last time her friends saw her. When Kasia did not return home, relatives reported the girl missing.
During the investigation, it turned out that the teenager kept a diary. In addition, her boyfriend Łukasz revealed that the girl asked him for help in ending a toxic relationship. The teenager’s diary showed that it was about an acquaintance with a lawyer who was the same age as her late father. He was supposed to support the family after the man’s death. Investigators also learned that the lawyer seduced the girl and sexually abused her.
A toxic relationship with a lawyer
According to one of the teenager’s friends, Kasia told her that she had kissed the patron. Some time later, she revealed that there was intercourse between them. Investigators also managed to establish that the lawyer had set up a sub-account for the girl, to which he transferred small amounts. Moreover, he later rented an apartment where he met with a teenager.
During the investigation, it turned out that the previously interrogated friend was hiding another notebook of Kasia. And what is important, there were many more notes about the teenager’s relationship with the patron. Investigators found, among other things, the dates and addresses of the hotels where they met. The testimony of the hotel staff confirmed that the man was in these places with the girl.
Kasia also revealed in her notebook that she wanted the lawyer to leave his wife for her. The teenager sent postcards with provocative messages to their home. Because of this, she was allegedly hit several times by the man.
Investigators also discovered that right after Kasia disappeared, the lawyer gave his car to a specialist car wash. He ordered an upholstery cleaning. Later, several hairs that belonged to a teenage girl were found in the trunk of the car. In the lawyer’s house, however, there was a shoe with dried blood on it. Interestingly, the man said it was deer blood.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to confirm that the blood belonged to Kasia. The prosecutor’s office sent him to a civilian university in Gdańsk. At that time, it was the only place where comparative DNA tests were performed. The shoe, however, disappeared under unexplained circumstances. For this reason, the man could not be charged with murder.

Kasia’s body has never been found. According to Onet.pl, the well-known lawyer never admitted to having sexual relations with the girl. He claimed to have met her for the last time on May 5, 2000. However, telephone records showed that he called Kasia on both May 9 and 10.
Robert Koniuszy from the District Police Headquarters for Mokotów informed the media in 2021 that the case had expired and was suspended. “Currently, the files are classified as confidential,” Koniuszy said.
