Stanisław Dygat saw Kalina Jędrusik for the first time on the boards of “Teatr Wybrzeże”. Her role in the play “You don’t play with love”, in which his then wife, Władysława Nawrocka, also played, made a great impression on the writer. Then they met at a party organized by Jerzy Ernz and immediately fell in love with each other. They’ve been inseparable ever since. Their passionate romance ended in pregnancy. Unfortunately, the child died shortly after giving birth, and as a result of numerous complications, Jędrusik became infertile and the couple never had children. When Nawrocka found out about her husband’s affair, she immediately demanded a divorce, which was announced in 1954.
Soon after, Dygat married Jędrusik and the newlyweds moved into a two-room apartment where Nawrocka lived with her daughter and mother. Oddly enough, the couple shared a room with the writer’s former wife. The house was constantly short of money, because Dygat spent everything on gifts for his wife, and Jędrusik hid her earnings and did not want to participate in the household budget. When the information came to light, they moved to an apartment located on a neighboring street, and soon after they moved to the capital.

After moving to Warsaw, Dygat wanted to make a star. He believed that he had predispositions to be a Polish Marilyn Monroe, and so it happened. The actress quickly became a sex goddess and was labeled a liberated woman. — He built a strong plinth for Kalina and placed her on this plinth — Krystyna Sienkiewicz. Although both of them were artistically fulfilled, privately the marriage ceased to work out.

In 1978, when Jędrusik was on tour, Stanisław Dygat had a massive heart attack and died. The actress felt remorse for not staying with her husband in the last moments of his life.
