He graduated from the Post-Secondary School of Acting and Musical in Wrocław, founded by the singer Elżbieta Bruż-Misiewicz, where actors and actors of musical scenes are trained. In the graduation performance, Mateusz Murański played Macbeth in Shakespeare’s play. Written around 1606, Macbeth is one of Shakespeare’s most widely staged and adapted plays, and his shortest tragedy.

In “Lombard. Life under collateral” awarded in 2021 with the Golden Telecamera, from 2017 to 2020 he played Adi, the son of the pawnshop owner (played by Zbigniew Buczowski). The production shot for TV Puls in Wrocław in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 won Telekamera in the category “feature and documentary series”. The character played by Murański wanted to take over his father’s business, but money did not stick to him. – This is a character who will guide grandma through the belts, but if she sees a wallet on the street, she probably won’t give it back. But she will help the grandmother who will lead her through the belts financially – said Mateusz Murański about Adrian, for whom it was the first big challenge in front of the camera.
– It was certainly very stressful, because it was my first day on the set of the series – well, maybe the second or third, but before that it was some modest episodes – he recalled the beginning of work on the quasi-documentary series “Lombard. Life under pawn”. – Here I knew that it was a very big undertaking, a very big project, so I wanted to show my best side – he explained.
The actor was also known for his popular yet controversial Freak MMA fights. When it comes to working in television production, it was the fight scenes that he found most challenging:
The hand-to-hand combat scenes are always the hardest scenes on the show, but I like those scenes. Nevertheless, they are demanding because I try to combine physical movement with acting.
He said he put them together himself. The producers of the series said goodbye to Murański, writing about the “cult role”.
They also recalled the “best lines” of the character he played. “This is how we will remember him,” they wrote on Instagram.
Last year, Jerzy Skolimowski’s IO, telling the story of a donkey, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Many people, good and bad, stand in his way. Murański played a supporting role there. In March, we will find out if the film will win an Oscar – it is nominated for the best international film.
The information about Murański’s death was confirmed on February 9, 2023 by the district prosecutor’s office in Gdańsk.
