The romance “Heaven in Hell” awaits fans of Polish productions. Olga and Maks are 15 years apart. Valentine’s Day movies aren’t just romantic

This year, Helios also prepared a film alternative to romantic dinners, beautiful bouquets and sweet chocolates. Everyone who wants to celebrate Valentine’s Day a little differently should be tempted by the Unromantic Horror Marathon. On Friday, February 10, the NMF cycle will present a film evening packed with novelties with as many as four terrifying horror films at screenings all over Poland.

On February 13, fans of the Koneser Cinema series will be able to see the documentary Hopper. American Love Story. The works of Edward Hopper are perhaps the most recognizable and influential art in the USA. One of his most popular oil paintings is Night Owls from 1942. Hopper drew from the great Degas, and from him Mark Rothko, Banksy, Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch, and even the creators of the “Simpsons” series. Phil Grabsky’s film confirms that Hopper is a unique artist whose work is available to both the casual and critical observer.

On Wednesday, February 15, as part of the Helios on Stage series, “The Barber of Seville” will be broadcast on selected screens. In this live opera, viewers will appreciate the heart-rending serenades, hilarious disguises and fairy-tale ending. From the opening piece “Largo al factotum” performed by the barber famous for shouting “Figaro!” to Rozina’s feisty aria “Una voce poco fa”, Gioachino Rossini’s comic opera is a story full of funny twists and turns.
