Wojciech Walasik is dead. The actor known from “Klan” was 60 years old

“We have received sad information that on February 3, at the age of 60, Wojciech Walasik, actor, director, lecturer at the Academy of Music in Łódź in the years 2001-2011, died” – you can read on the Facebook profile of the Academy of Music. “We regret to inform you that our colleague, former actor of Nowy – Wojciech Walasik passed away at the age of only 60. In 1987, he graduated from the Acting Department of the PWSFTviT in Łódź. At the Academy of Music in Łódź, he taught the basics of acting and directed operas, wrote colleagues from Teatr Nowy.

Wojciech Walasik was born on May 20, 1963 in Łódź. In the years 1970-78 he studied at the State General School of Music in Łódź, where he graduated from the first level in the piano class, and the second level – in the trumpet class. He studied at the Acting Department of the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theater named after Leon Schiller in Łódź.

He was associated with the Nowy Theater in Poznań, later performing in Łódź. He played in the films of Władysław Pasikowski, Wojciech Jerzy Has, Marek Koterski, Mariusz Treliński and Andrzej and Janusz Kondratiuk. He played in “Klan” Bronisław Porębski, the alleged “husband” of Czesia Kot, then Kurzawska. You could also watch him in small roles, for example in “Plebania” and “Father Mateusz”.

He was a lecturer, director of concerts and performances, and also composed music for theater performances, as well as a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Łódź.
