When will you be able to put your scarf and snow boots in the closet? We know when to expect warming

The calendar spring will start as every year on March 21. However, can we count on the fact that the heat will get much faster?

When is the warming up? Forecast for the coming days

Turns out we won’t have to wait long. Currently, forecasts predict a much warmer second decade of February. Interestingly, the temperatures are supposed to exceed even 7 degrees Celsius.

In the second decade of February, the center of the high pressure will move much more to the east and south-east of the continent. At that time, the air circulation will change, and warmer air from the south-west and south of Europe will flow over our country. According to an expert from the fanipogody.pl portal, the first day when positive temperatures will appear almost throughout Poland is Friday, February 10

When is the end of winter 2023? Long-term forecast

Recently, IMGW published an experimental long-term forecast from February to May. Here are the highlights:

  • February will not differ from the long-term norm from 1991-2020 (both in terms of average monthly temperature and precipitation). March, on the other hand, can be exceptionally wet. Throughout the country, monthly precipitation will be above the long-term average with normal temperatures.
  • In April, we can already count on spring warmth. The average temperature across the country, according to IMWM forecasts, will probably be above the 30-year long-term standard. In turn, precipitation should not deviate from the norm.
  • In turn, in May we can feel the summer. The average monthly temperature throughout the country will be above the long-term standard from 1991-2020. And as forecast by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, the amount of precipitation should fall within the range of the long-term standard.
