It turns out that coffee grounds greatly extend the life of our cut flowers. Of course, in gardening stores you can find a lot of such preparations, but why overpay if we have coffee grounds at hand? All you have to do is add a spoonful of coffee grounds to a vase of water, stir and put flowers. It’s simple right?
Although there are no warmer days on the horizon in Poland for now, it is worth being prepared for them. And in fact, to prepare our four-legged friends. As soon as the temperatures go up a bit, they will be exposed to insects such as mosquitoes and black flies. If we want to protect our dogs or cats from these insects, it is enough to gently rub their fur with coffee grounds.
The last way is to simply fertilize the soil in the garden with coffee grounds. Thanks to this, our soil will be enriched with many valuable minerals and the soil’s pH will improve.
Other ways to use coffee grounds
Coffee is an invaluable helper not only in the event of a decrease in energy, but also in skin care. Caffeine, the main ingredient synonymous with coffee, has many benefits for the skin, and here are some of them:
- reduces the visibility of wrinkles and mimic lines,
- reduces inflammation of the skin, so you can use coffee in minimizing puffy eyes and dark circles under the eyes,
- improves skin elasticity,
- repairs damage caused by UV rays and prevents their formation,
- increases the production of collagen and elastin, making the skin look younger.
Regular use of coffee grounds prepared from coffee grounds can bring better results than using expensive cosmetics. Thanks to it, we will exfoliate the dead epidermis and at the same time regenerate the hair. Such peeling facilitates the regulation of sebaceous glands, which can prevent rapid oily hair and the formation of dandruff. In addition, caffeine stimulates hair growth and prevents hair loss.
To prepare the basic version of the peeling, we need:
- 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds,
- 2 tablespoons of shampoo
- we can also enrich it with 2 tablespoons of hot water and 1 tablespoon of heated coconut oil.
Pour the coffee grounds with water and mix thoroughly, then add the rest of the ingredients. Depending on the desired consistency, we can add more oil or coffee grounds to the mixture. When the scrub is at room temperature, you can massage it into the scalp, leave it for a few minutes, and then rinse with lukewarm water. It is worth applying a conditioner to the hair after such a peeling to make the effect even better. We use coffee peeling no more than once a week.
