More than 200 artists, managers and researchers from Guayas meet at the I Meeting of artists, managers and workers of the Guayas culture, under the slogan ‘Public policies, democratization of access to culture and management of diversity’, which will be held in Guayaquil. The historian Miguel Cantos Díaz, director of the Instituto Cultural Nuestra América (ICNA), one of the organizing entities, points out: “Artists, groups, researchers and cultural managers from the entire province of Guayas convened ourselves to discuss the existing labor inequities as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and propose cultural public policies that promote progressive economic development of artists and cultural workers, guaranteeing the right to social security, equal working conditions and public-private investment to finance programs and cultural activities that revitalize the sector ”.
