Leonard Pietraszak is dead. The actor was 86 years old

The actor was born on November 6, 1936 in Bydgoszcz, died on February 1, 2023.

He made his theater debut on June 19, 1959, and a year later graduated from the Acting Department of the PWSTiF in Łódź. Later he played on the stage of Teatr Dramatyczny in Poznań and Teatr Polski in Poznań. In Warsaw, he performed on the stage of the Classical Theatre, the Comedy Theater and the Ateneum Theatre. Stefan Jaracz.

In the cinema and on television, apart from the extremely popular “Black Clouds”, “Czterdziestolatka” and “Vabank”, Leonard Pietraszak also played, among others, in “Danton”, “Kingsajza”, “Career of Nikodem Dyzma”, “39 and a half” or “Letters to M.”

In 2000, the actor was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta “in recognition of outstanding contributions to Polish culture, for achievements in artistic work”, and in 2010 he received the Gold Medal “Gloria Artis for Merit to Culture”. In 2002, during the 7th Festival of Stars in Międzyzdroje, he imprinted his hand on the Promenade of Stars. He was an honorary citizen of Bydgoszcz.
