– It is televisions that are banned from artists, because the Opole festival is TVP. Artists do not want to play on TVP, because it is a regime television, government, therefore they boycott the festival in Opole. Therefore, at such a festival there is a small line-up, the same names over and over – at the festival in Opole, at the New Year’s Eve concert. I miss these young people very much, this whole young generation – says Maryla Rodowicz.

When asked if there is a moral conflict in connection with the political situation and appearing on Public Television, the singer mentions the words that hurt her the most. It is about the statement of President Andrzej Duda, who said about LGBT people that “they are not people, but ideology”.

When asked if he separates artistic performances from politics, because he constantly appears on TVP, he answers:

At the same time, a moment later, he sharply criticizes Law and Justice for dividing people. That’s why I want them to lose the election. So that people can feel human, say what they want, so that they can be what they want, so that they can sleep with who they want, so that they stop looking under the covers of politics for them.
