The Icelandic Björk will stop at the WiZink Center in Madrid on September 4 with her ‘Cornucopia’ tour, which will be her first concert in the Spanish capital in 16 years. Tickets for the concert will go on pre-sale this Wednesday, February 1, at 10:00 a.m. on the livenation.es website and the general sale will take place next fridayFebruary 3, from the same time, as reported by the promoter in a statement.

Thus, the singer will once again offer a concert in Madrid after 16 years, since It was in 2007 when he performed for the last time in the city, specifically in the Plaza de Las Ventas. The appointment in Madrid will take place after the opening concert of the tour in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon.

After passing through Spain, Björk will tour France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Poland, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. The tour is based on Björk’s latest album, ‘Utopia’ and it premiered as a resident show at The Shed in New York, receiving good reviews, although the show that will arrive in Spain takes up the original staging of the artist’s catalog music, reworked to include music from her current album ‘Fossora ‘, nominated for a Grammy.

The show will bring together digital visuals created by audiovisual artist Tobias Gremmler, along with Andy Huang and Nick Knight, while the scenery will be run by Chiara Stephenson. The tour stage will also host the Viibra flute septet, clarinetists, a harpist, percussion, electronics and a series of custom-made instruments.
