“You can say nonsense and win, the last question does not count”: the revealing confession of María Celeste Arrarás about the election of Miss Universe

Almost two weeks after Miss Universe, the debates continue about whether R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss USA is the worthy representative of universal beauty, above the two great favorites, Miss Dominican Republic, Andreina Martínez and Miss Venezuela, Amanda Dudamel.

The presenter María Celeste Arrarás attended the Univisión program, “El Gordo y La Flaca” and revealed details about the international contest that could generate even more debate. In addition, she affirmed that she agreed that she did not win “the most beautiful”.

Since she is Miss Universe, she doesn’t care about the title of Miss USA; R’Bonney Gabriel resigns from office and the United States already has a new representative

The revealing confession of María Celeste Arrarás about the Miss Universe

The journalist has experience with the organization. Arrarás was a Miss Universe jury on two occasions, so she knows how the processes are handled behind the scenes.

With his revealing confession, he clarified the theory of questions and answers. Arrarás affirmed that the final question is not decisive for the triumph of a queen, as everyone thinks.

“The last question, gentlemen, does not count… In any contest… it is that there is no time. They walk in, give their last catwalk, and during that moment the judges have the instructions to vote because if not, there is no time to give the results”, Arrarás told Lili Estefan and Raúl de Molina.

In addition, the Puerto Rican journalist explained that “they parade, we vote and while they are answering that last question, they take the results of the judges who are now electronic, and they are tabulated and verified by the independent firm that hires the contest every year.”

And finally, the well-known television presenter was lapidary in her statement: “You can say nonsense and win.”

The television host was invited to the program mainly because of her Instagram post, where she assured that the selection of Miss United States as the universal sovereign had been “terrible”, surpassing Miss Dominican Republic and Miss Venezuela.

Arrarás questioned that the selection of R’Bonnie Gabriel was linked to the jury. “When you want to know what the choice is going to be, look at the jury, the vast majority of them, I think there were six Americans. If they vote aggressively, neither of these two Latina women were going to win,” he commented, adding that Martínez and Dudamel “were much better prepared and much prettier, the whole world knows that.”

Miss USA was never among the favorites of the experts, however, on that night of January 14 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, she was crowned Miss Universe, which caused shock and surprise in the social networks and the international press. (AND)
