Steczkowska had already used the repertoire of Ewa Demarczyk. The song “Grande Valse Brillante” was performed, for example, during the 58th National Festival of Polish Song in Opole. Now she promotes a tour during which she will sing the artist’s compositions, among others in Olsztyn, Lublin, Gdańsk, Kraków, Rzeszów and Bielsko-Biała.
More expensive than the original
Ticket prices start at PLN 99 (category III – on the balcony and side of the room) and go up to PLN 499 for the VIP package. According to information from the official website of the Royal Concert sales system, there are people who have decided to make such an expenditure. However, according to many, this is definitely overestimated.
I wouldn’t go for nothing, Demarczyk was unique. Years ago, entry to a Geppert concert in Warsaw’s Old Town cost PLN 20.
I went to E. Demarczyk’s concert twice years ago and the prices were not as high as the lowest ones at Steczkowska Street.

If the current price for a ticket reaches even PLN 500, such a ticket becomes unattainable for many. For two people, it is already PLN 1,000, then some coffee or dinner and it becomes a huge amount. Today people can’t afford it.
– he said. He also added that such high ticket prices are not in line with the will of Demarczyk, who wanted them not to exceed the financial capabilities of the average viewer. So she would not be happy to see the amount of money to be expected to hear her repertoire performed by another singer. Earlier, he also published an entry on Facebook, in which he points out that Polish artists are increasingly going on tour with covers. In his opinion, this is due to the fact that “most of them cannot create their own repertoire”.

Steczkowska referred to Rynkiewicz’s words, claiming that the biting remark was not aimed at her, because she has been performing her own repertoire from seventeen studio albums for several decades. Reaching for the works of other artists is not her main source of income, and if she decides to do so, she cares about original arrangements.
I had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Paweł Rynkiewicz and I understand his emotions related to what he wrote. He’s right about that, but I don’t feel it applies to me personally because I’m an artist who has had his own repertoire for 30 years.
– she said. She also defended the high prices, explaining what the VIP ticket guarantees, which is only one of many options to listen to Demarczyk’s songs performed by her.
