The government’s plan for families includes many benefits, such as “500 plus” for children. Parents who raised at least four children were also not forgotten. In 2019, a special “Mama 4+” program was created for them. If he or the father meets the appropriate conditions, he can receive even PLN 1,338.44 gross every month. From March 1, this amount will increase along with the planned indexation in 2023.
Supplementary parental benefit “Mama 4+”. Who is entitled to?
The possibility of using the “Mom 4+” is related to the fulfillment of certain conditions:
- birth and upbringing or only upbringing of at least four children;
- no old-age pension awarded or receipt of a benefit lower than the currently applicable minimum old-age pension (then compensation will be granted to the amount of the lowest old-age pension);
- permanent residence in Poland for at least 10 years and having the so-called center of vital interests;
- Polish citizenship or citizenship of a Member State of the European Union or a Member State of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA);
- granted right of residence in Poland or granted right of permanent residence in Poland, and in the case of foreigners, legalized stay.

The program “Mom 4+”. How much will it be from March 1, 2023?
The “Mama 4+” program is intended for mothers over 60 years of age. The condition is the birth and upbringing of at least four children. The supplement can also be used by fathers who have reached the age of 65 and raised at least four offspring without a mother who abandoned them, died or did not take up their upbringing.
The benefit is a compensation to the amount of the currently applicable minimum old-age pension, and therefore it may currently amount to a maximum of PLN 1,338.44 gross. From March 1, due to the indexation, this amount will increase. The government plans to introduce increases in the amount and percentage, thanks to which the minimum pension is to increase to PLN 1,588.44 gross. This is the maximum you will be able to receive under the Mama 4+ program.
